Shailoam Ledbetter Metropolitan Funeral

Shailoam Anothony Kevin Ledbetter-born November 6th,2006. He passed away peacefully at home in Chesapeake. Shailoam was survived by his parents Anthony and Dolores Ledbetter. Shailoam attended both private and public schools during his primary years of school. Shailoam made the decision that he could handle the challenges that come with being in the public school system. He was a Junior at Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, while at Deep Creek High School he was an Honor Roll student each grading year of High School. Shailoam was in the Cadet Corps of the Air Force JROTC and this past grading year he was the Class Leader. Shailoam was a member of Alive Church and enjoyed going to Sunday services. Shailoam would have taken his first trip to Italy this summer and he was excited about traveling to Europe, he was accepted into the Dual Enrollment Electrical Program at TCC for his Senior year at Deep Creek High School. However, Our Father GOD decided an alternate plan. Everyone who met Shailoam always had kind words to say about him, many referred to him as a “Gentle Giant.” Shailoam will be greatly missed by his parents Dolores and Anthony, siblings, God sister, and Shailoam will be missed tremendously by his family and friends. He is Survived by his siblings: Obadiah (Halifax NS,Canada), Sha’Quana and Imani (Chesapeake, Virginia) special brother Laurice (Vanessa) (Halifax NS,Canada), Maternal grandparents: Judith Gabriel and David Downey (Halifax,NS,Canada), Paternal grandparents: Mary Duncan and the late Shelby Duncan (Michigan, Detroit), Nephews: Omari, King, Loyal and niece Camiya. His God sisters Sarah and Adara. Maternal aunts: Special Aunt Leotra,Yolanda and Angela. Paternal Aunts: Tracy, Katherine (Erick Armstead), Stacey, and Shelly. Maternal Uncles: David, Raymond. Paternal Uncles: Goerge and Pre-Deceased John. Pre-deceased La’Quoya Shailoam’s friends The “TingTacs” Matthew, Aidan, Joeseph, Jack, Chance, Robert, Colin, Jasen, Tyler, Holden, Jorge. Shailoam’s special furry friend Willow. He has numerous great aunts and uncles in Detroit and Canada and numerous cousins in Canada and Detroit.
