Original Sin Celeb Secrets

HBO Max has found their leads for their upcoming show, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin!

Chandler Kinney will star as “Tabby” and Maia Reficco will star as “Noa.” Kinney’s character is an aspiring director and horror movie buff. Like the other Little Liars, Tabby’s hiding a secret. Reficco’s character is a striving, sardonic track star who’s working hard to get her life back to normal after a summer spent in juvenile detention.

According to HBO Max, this is what fans can expect from the series: “Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars.”

The series will be a new addition to the Pretty Little Liars universe. The original show was on Freeform from 2010 to 2017 and featured actresses Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, and Sasha Pieterse. Previous spin-offs include Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists and Ravenswood. The story originates from the best-selling series by Sara Shephard.

Kinney is best known for her role in Zombies 2 on Disney Channel. She will reprise her role as Willa in the upcoming third installment of the franchise. Other credits include Lethal Weapon, American Horror Story: Asylum, The Haunted Hathaways, and Girl Meets World.

Reficco is currently filming Netflix film, Strangers, alongside Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke. She is best known for her role as “Kally” in the Nickelodeon series, Kally’s Mashup. She recently starred as “Natalie” in the Broadway Center Stage production of Next to Normal. She also starred as “Young Eva” in the Encores! Production of Evita at New York City Center.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is written by Riverdale executive producer/showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina writer, Lindsay Calhoon Bring. Lisa Soper, who recently directed an episode of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, will direct the first two episodes. Production is expected to begin later in the summer in New York.
