Adele in Verona: The Filming Fiasco

Publish date: 2024-06-16

Last night Adele graced the stage in Verona during her tour across Europe.

Whilst the rain lashed down – the singer, determined not to disappoint her fans, put on her disposable plastic coat and persevered with the weather, entertaining an audience of 15,000!

The record-breaking songstress surprised adoring fans with her first performance of “Love in the Dark” from her latest album “25”. Although she did forget some of the words, her voice prevailed – and not-so-surprisingly, she delivered an outstanding performance to say the least.

However, Adele’s most colorful show to date has been unfortunately tainted as she called out a “fan” for somewhat illegally recording her concert. The woman in question managed to sneak a tripod and professional camera past security (yes, we were wondering how too) into the Roman amphitheater to record the entirety of Adele’s show.

While security proceeded to stop the lady in her tracks, Adele too decided to plea with her to just enjoy the show.

“Yeah, I want to tell that lady as well, can you stop filming me with a video camera because I’m really here in real life. You can enjoy it in real life, rather than through your camera. Can you take your tripod down? This isn’t a DVD, this is a real show.”

Having been aware of the hundreds of fans gathered around the outside of the Arena Di Verona just to hear her voice, Adele stuck up for them – as well as the rest of the fans who were unable to get tickets…

“I’d really like you to enjoy the show because there’s lots of people outside that couldn’t come in.”

Fair enough, right?

People should not get confused – Adele often encourages her audience to use their mobile phones at her concerts. She often pulls fans up for selfies on stage and at every show to date, consistently invites her supporters to shine the torches on their phones during her performance of “Make You Feel My Love”.

We are sure that the multiple Grammy award-winner acknowledges the fact that fans will record some of her concert as a memoir for personal use. She, however, had every right to “drag” someone for filming in hopes of selling the footage to make profit.

Hey, all she wanted was for her audience to enjoy themselves!

We think it was wonderful of Adele to stand up for Daydreamers who weren’t lucky enough to get tickets for the tour. (Which she is rumored to be supposedly adding more dates…!!)
